The Venetians have been making beautiful decorative mirrors since the fifteenth century. Today, they are still the masters of their art, and nowadays, an authentic Venetian glass mirror is still not only regarded as a thing of beauty, but as a symbol of status and luxury, which will hold its value for years and years to come.

This very refined and elaborate hand-engraved antiqued mirror, is made in Venice, and is decorated in the very intricate 18th century eglomise style.

This is a French term, translating as "gilded glass". The back of a piece of glass is gilded, sometimes with silver leaf, and sometimes with gold leaf, to superb effect.

Further decoration is provided by beautiful clear Murano glass flowers, and the frame is natural-coloured solid wood.
